Work out clothes have always held a special place in the world of fashion and style. It may seem odd and counter intuitive to be 'fashionable' while working out, but these are the facts nonetheless. Go to any gym and you will see well coordinated outfits everywhere. Luckily, most new work out clothes are functional as well as stylish. The downside of this is cost. Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour all make wonderful products, but due to their overwhelming popularity they tend to be rather pricey.
I was looking for my first pair of compression shorts as I was training for my first mud run. I heard that they kept your muscles warm, in place, and helped recovery from being sore. When I looked at the popular brands online, I balked at the price tag of $30.00 for a pair of tight legging shorts. Luckily my wife had us at Target shopping for yet another set of bathroom mats when I saw the C9 line of Mens workout clothes. C9 is Targets line of Champion clothing that is both well made and reasonably priced. In fact, I would go as far as saying that the C9 line is better made then the classic Champion line.
These compression shorts come in both 9 inch inseam and 11 inch inseam and typically sell for 14.99 both in store and online. They feature C9's 'Duo Dry' technology which wicks away water and moisture to keep you dry and comfortable. Overall these compression shorts are incredible for the price and are perfect for someone looking to try out a compression short for the first time. A year ago I would have laughed at someone trying to sell me these, but I can honestly say these make working out much more comfortable. Hopefully one day they will make these in a full size legging for the winter time.
Pros: Great price compared to other compression shorts from the major work out brands. Choice of 9 inch and 11 inch inseam. Wicks away moisture easily. Dries quickly even after being submerged in water.
Cons: The choice of colors is troubling. I would only buy the black and grey options. The white and green are a horrendous camoflauge mixture. Hopefully next year they will expand the color selection and make a full length legging.

I like such decent clothing for my work outs but sometime like to play with different colors and patterns to create trendy gym looks. My mesh cut out leggings and patterned tank tops are best for that.
